Abnormal noise of high pressure piston compressor of helium compressor:

When some parts of the high-pressure compressor fail, they will make abnormal noises.

Generally speaking, operators can distinguish abnormal noises.

The clearance between piston and cylinder head is too small, causing direct impact;

The nuts connecting the piston rod and piston are loose or tripped, the end face of the piston is plugged, the piston moves upwards and collides with the cylinder head, metal fragments fall into the cylinder, and water accumulates in the cylinder, etc., which can make a knocking sound in the cylinder.

Crankshaft bush bolts, nuts, connecting rod bolts and crosshead bolts in crankcase are loose, tripped, broken, etc., and the shaft diameter is seriously worn and the clearance is increased.

Excessive clearance or serious wear between crosshead pin and bushing can make impact sound in crankcase.

The exhaust valve plate is broken, the valve spring is loose or damaged, the load regulator is improperly adjusted, etc., all of which can make knocking sound in the valve cavity.
